The program seemed to work well until it got into unusual federal tax situations, where date fields didn't format correctly, and the part about breaking up the tax into quarterly chunks was very finicky and there was no assistance in bringing info in from what was previously entered in the return. It basically made the entire process manual for calculating taxes at that point. It also wouldn't let me pick today's date as the date I would pay. It said I could leave it blank to assume the tax deadline and it still errored on that. The part of taking photos of documents was great, until it came time for the 1098s. Then it had me use the native phone camera instead and couldn't ever read the documents at all. I had to enter them manually. In addition, the import feature is no good as it won't play nice with the phone when I wish to use a password manager to get the credentials imported into the input fields. Also, in case of session timeout, the program ALWAYS made me redo the introductory questions about importing data from last year with no way to skip to the home page. So annoying!

I had used a competitors software to prepare my taxes. it showed i owed 1200 dollars, which didn't seem right, I reached out to my dad who said i should use TurboTax, that's who he trusted. so i did... i only owed $515. the question Turbo Tax asked about purchasing a new home with my IRA payment saved me $700 in deductions i didn't know about.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments
