Thanks Dad, and Turbo Tax

I had used a competitors software to prepare my taxes. it showed i owed 1200 dollars, which didn't seem right, I reached out to my dad who said i should use TurboTax, that's who he trusted. so i did... i only owed $515. the question Turbo Tax asked about purchasing a new home with my IRA payment saved me $700 in deductions i didn't know about.

Listen. TurboTax is an unnecessary middle man and $120+ is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for what is essentially an electronic envelope. The government already knows what is owed. This process is inefficient and a waste of time.
PS. I don't mind paying taxes to support schools, roads, public health, civil infrastructure. I'm not salty about that. I'm complaining that the messenger gets my cash for no relevant reason.
