It's a scam! Use the free filing from the IRS site

It's a scam! They charge you for simple returns by saying that it's "too complicated" and take most of your refund as payment. And if you try to call to get help, you can only talk to an AI and have to pay $29 for a phone call or else you'll never get anyone on the line.

I had to prompt the system and look up if alimony was tax deductible for my California state taxes it was. Turbo tax did not prompt me to enter that info because it is not tax deductible federally.

TUBO TAX IS TOO EXPENSIVE!!!!!!

It's only convenient because I've been using it so long that all my info is saved, making the process faster. IT IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. IT SHOULD BE A CRIME TO CHARGE PEOPLE THIS MUCH MONEY TO GET THEIR TAX RETURN. IF THERE WAS AN IRS EQUIVALENT THAT WAS FREE OR EVEN BETTER PRICED, I WOULD NEVER EVER CHOOSE THIS PROGRAM AGAIN. $119 TO FILE MY TAXES IS DIABOLIC.
