Unneeded waste of money

I basically filed my taxes by myself, but because the basic version of turbo tax doesn’t cover an HSA account I had to pay for a tax expert, and then on top of that because I chose to use my refund as the payment method rather than paying for something that I didn’t want to use, I had to pay an extra $40, taking $201 from my return of $500something.

I love how easy it is to use this year over year since it brings in a lot of things automatically. It is really annoying that the promos offered are only for new customers. How about rewarding those of us who have stayed loyal to your system?

Frustrating and a waste of money

Turbo tax started off well but then AFTER I had paid and had to upgrade to do the 1099-R form they ‘reviewed’ my returns and kept giving me an error regarding box 14 and 16. After look up the issue I found out it is a common error with Turbo Tax and I will not be using them again for my taxes.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Stop paying 79 bucks for them to take your return

It’s dumb that I have to pay 79 dollars extra to get my 80 dollar retirement credit. But it doesn’t give me any other option. What if I don’t want the credit I’d like to keep my money instead of having to upgrade to deluxe with no choice. It’s dumb and terrible business. Please give me my tax credit back. They basically just took it from me hahaha.

Highway Robbery

The product is fine... but you force me to buy individual copies of the software to file taxes for my children. You charged a 15 year old boy $219 to file returns for $1,600 of income in 2024... that's highway robbery. Now, on April 15 it appears that I am compelled to do the same thing for my 16 year old daughter... so $438 to Intuit... just thievery.
