Not worth it anymore

The get you with a lot of add on fees, ended up paying $200 for basic tax return, not sure I can use them anymore

Unnecessary fees for a necessary process

Without all the hidden fees, this would be a great product (like it used to be). They throw $79 federal refund at you all day but then when it's time to file...oh just a $40 processing fee for your refund. Then they try to give you a false choice between direct deposit to their other product Credit Karm Checking Account - they don't tell you right away that Credit Karma charges a nearly 2% transfer fee. The second "false choice" is to get your refund up to 5 days early by paying another $35. They hide these fees behind mindless menus and animations to trick you, had to call customer service for help opting out of this ridiculous fee. It's bad enough that regular working Americans are gouged for a convenient online tax service. Inuit is a snake-oil company that's just as bad as the dubious tax preparers in your community that also nickel-and-dime you with pointless fees. I've had more pleasant interactions getting scammed by pig-butchers from Thailand than I have forking over my hard-earned tax refund to "process" my request.

Lack of transparency is gross. You don't indicate the cost of filing a state return until you've already completed it. And then there is an option to "delete already completed state return and file elsewhere"? this software used to help people. Now you hide behind walls and charge people after they've already completed their return. Remembering why i didn't use this service last year.
