TurboTax sucks

Usually I go to a local tax expert but this year I thought I’d give TurboTax a chance. Instant regret! I even paid for the deluxe version and still had trouble! Will never do this again!

Got all the way through my taxes after choosing the "free" filing option, then at the very end turbo tax told me the only way to submit was by upgrading to the $79 dollar plan because i had an HDHP health plan the prior year, and there was no other option to submit my taxes. I somehow went from a $25 federal return and a $0 michigan return, to owing $79 to turbo tax, and $64 to michigan, for a total of $143 dollars owed.

Misleading Prices/costs

Was forced to pay $119 to use TurboTax all because I had an HSA and I didn’t even get any breaks or benefits for having it. I was told that the product that I was required to have cost $79 then I was also hit with a $40 “convenience” fee. I am extremely unhappy with all of this 10 out of 10 I do not recommend TurboTax.
