How Do You Sleep at Night?

Just waiting for y’all to get sued for advertising this as a “free” service in all your little unskippable commercials. My refund was about $200 and went all the way down to $27 after the slew of “service” fees. Y’all get more and more greedy each year and this will be the final year I let you rob me. Can’t wait for this to be illegal so I can dance on the metaphorical TurboTax grave.

The WORST experience with filing my taxes. Misleading as it has a free option but made me pay $143 for literally NOTHING. No help or anything. Do NOT recommend this website.

Fix your CRP portion and refund me please

I spent over 3 hours ramming my head into a wall because past year's CRP forms were populating and mandating to be filled out, even though I had not selected rent credit as being applicable. I also knew that my income was to high for rent credit, so I was trying to circumvent that portion entirely, however, there appeared to be no way for me to delete/edit/skip the forms and still be able to e-file.
When attempting to correct the forms with information that had already been provided on past year's filings, I was only able to correct the form one field at a time. It also seemed to be requesting 2024's rental information, but since prior year's CRP forms were populating, I wasn't sure if I should enter information from my 2024 CRP, or information for the CRP form number from past years that was being prompted on screen. Regardless, even after filling out all versions of the forms (50+ field prompts) I still hit an error when attempting to e-file. I also was unable to complete e-filing my federal return (due to a caching error), until I moved to another computer. I think the caching error may have been related.
After 3 hours of failed attempts I called support and was finally helped by a nice woman (can't remember her name, I'm sure you can see it) and she was able to help me find the Rent Credit checkbox, where I was able to delete past years' forms and enter my actual 2024 form. However, after completing the form I was informed that I was not eligible for a rent credit given that my income was too high. Give that nice woman a raise, she was great.
I had 6 friends in the room with me trying to correct the aforementioned issues for 2+ hours and despite everyone's efforts nothing worked. The fact that this is the product and experience I received after paying $143 to file my taxes in a country that already knows how much I owe and yet fails to proactively file my taxes for me because companies like yours lobby the government to allow yourselves the opportunity to do business to "make filing people's taxes easier" is complete absurdity. The only reason this tax system exists is for the rich elite to circumvent the requirements to pay their fair share. It is safe to say that if you do not refund my $143 for my 2024 filing, I, and those other 6 people in the room with me (yes they were actually in the room with me), will never use Turbo Tax again. Thank you and good day.
