$80 is too much to file a basic return

I am upset that I was required to pay nearly $80 to file my taxes (only a W-2 to submit), which I am legally required to do. Though I have been using TurboTax for the last several years without issue, next year, I will be filing elsewhere.

Turbotax is dishonest

I have used turbotax for a long time. I have never had a problem using the free edition.But this year, you guys came up with a 54 dollar reason to make me pay the 79 fee to file. That's pretty dishonest. And I talked to an expert that couldn't tell me why, after looking at my tax information.

Every single next step you go to, turbo tax wants you to upgrade the service/product. Not only is it annoying but this year I had to upgrade due to an unusual tax situation and I didn’t experience any perks from having to pay $150 for the service.

Easy but awkward

Easy to use but sometimes it’s hard to click continue or finish because you can’t scroll down. Example: step two of two Share your info with Intuit. To move on, I had to click on the full name box in order to click on the continue button. Perhaps it’s because I’m on my phone instead of the computer

Wouldn’t recommend but it gets the job done

It’s expensive if you have to submit anything that disqualifies you from the free version, like an 1099, state taxes etc. The constant asks to upgrade to deluxe or max are obnoxious, saying no to them once should be sufficient. It’s thorough and considers more than I would if I were filing them on my own, and the interface is ok.
