turbo tax is never free !!!!

was filing on the free service, was notified my wife could claim 300$ for non reimbursed school supplies as a teacher which she more than pays. upped my refund by 60$ then later turbo tax said since I'm claiming the deduction I have to upgrade to the 80$ deluxe version no mention of this before. no way to unclaim the deduction, scammed me for 20$. shameful dishonest

I've never done my taxes my self before always went to someone to do. So I done this year myself and surprising it was really easy to do. And if you have any trouble or problems or any questions someone is always there to answer your questions and threw the process

Tax preperation companies are a ripoff.

This did not make my experience any better. Your new sign in method is tedious, especially if you are doing taxes for your spouse and they aren't immediately in the room. We created 10+ character randomized passwords for a reason. Your AI chat bot is of no help, and on top of everything else, I have to go through all of this trouble because YOU lobby to keep taxes difficult for regular people.

Easy, but not free

It's by far the easiest system that I've used. BUT IT IS NOT FREE OR CHEAP for a standard deduction tax return
