Decitful and Frustrating

I have used TurboTax for several years. Each year, the product seems to get more and more deceiving in terms of having to pay extra close attention to what I'm selecting or declining, i.e.: having to click the smaller text to find the product I really want to use rather than the one suggested, not having a way to exit the screen used to try to get the customer to consent to sharing their data with Intuit, other than clicking a category on the left-hand side of the screen, etc.
We had to enter our tax information twice this year as we thought we had chosen TurboTax Deluxe when we started our taxes only to get to the end to see it was the "live version" and was going to cost $50+ more than last year.
I'm not sure that we will return as customers next year due to this increasing deceitfulness little by little each year and persistent screens asking if I want to "upgrade" the product I'm using.
Please make your product more straightforward and user friendly rather than trying to trick your customers into selecting a more expensive product for the sake of increased profits for you.
