Turbo Tax made life easy

Feels like a scam

Everywhere states that all filings are free. I do not have a complicated tax situation, the thing they claim is my HSA account which I do not contribute to (my employer does) which disqualifies me from free federal, and then the state didn’t give a reason for voting almost $60…and the best part is that it wasn’t explained until you are all done and already spent 2 hours doing everything…I will be researching what to do in the future to not have to give these scams any more money.

turbotax, easy to use but expensive fees

Easy to use, but expensive. Even with the "free" filing for federal ended up paying over $200 in fees. $118 2 state tax returns, a fee to pay state charge with federal.... If i had felt like redoing all the info again into a different service I would have to save on the fees.

Turbo Tax is Very Disappointing

I had to do my taxes online this year because my computer was too old for the format I have used for years. Instead of having all of my info automatically uploaded from my computer, I had to type all my info and learn how to use the online program which I found to be confusing and frustrating. And all of this cost me $20 more than the download program and didn't even include my State filing!! What a rip off! Why on earth is the online filing system (which isn't very good) MORE than the download program? This is purely a money grab.

I was easier than I thought. I didn't like that it asked for your adjusted gross income until after you were done and had paid for everything. I feel like something is missing.
