Taxes has become a game in expense control

Too many hidden fees, especially aimed at people with unavoidable situations, such as not having health insurance for a period and being forced to use the ACA system. This turns your tax return into a deluxe requirement due to Schedule 3. For 3 months I need health insurance to avoid a punishment in MA, and in turn, Turbotax takes advantage of that situation. How many low income individuals suffer because of this?
My taxes, even as careful and frugal as I can be, end up having almost 100$ taken off them due to that alone and that was with their sale on deluxe. Follow up with the 40$ processing fee if you don't just pay with a card. Thank goodness I read that.
And then to get a refund in less than 21 days, another 25$ fee.
In the end I could refinagle the checkout to ensure I only paid for deluxe, but the fees are outrageous. After years of doing taxes, this has to have been the wildest one just for legal requirements on healthcare in MA.

Turbo Tax makes filing my taxes so simple. I enjoy not having to pay someone over 500 dollars to enter my own numbers its that easy
