I find some places in the preparation to be difficult to maneuver. I think the update stuff could be clearer to get to. I also found that the tax credits for improvements should be automatic and not have to be looked for. I almost missed it after having installed a new HVAC system and added insulation to my home. The other issue I have is that it automatically takes you into the state taxes. Being retired I don't have to pay state taxes and can file for free on the state website. It again takes me a while to figure out how to get around that every year.
I've used Turbotax for years and normally I give rave reviews, but I had some problems this year. Paging back with the BACK button didn't just put you on the previous page. You had to redo or go find where you were. Also, I was missing a box on my 1099-R form (retired civil service) and the directions on how to proceed without the info were pretty much non-existent. And I'm not going to pay for the MAX version for something that should be in the instructions.
