Worsening User Interface with Upselling Blitz.

The user interface used to be very interactive and intuitive. It seems the past few years Turbo Tax has gotten a lot less user friendly. To make matters worse, the PAID version is a non-stop stream of upselling nonsense, where at every turn they try to trick you into adding more products you don't need. Turbo Tax is going downhill fast. I've used them for years, but this may be the last.
The program is user friendly, I file on my own becuase I do a standard deduction but they made me updgrade and pay $49.00 becuase my return was no longer considered "basic" because I had to enter information from form 1099-G for recieving under $2000 in unemployment for a short period of time when our company went on workshare for less than 2 months and then it gave me the opiton to have them deduct the upgrade fee out of my tax return so I chose that option, it did not say there was a fee for this service. Once I was about to pay and it had me review a breakdown and they added another $40 for chosing the option to have the fee deducted from my tax return. The return started at zero saying based on my information it was free to file and it ended up being $89.00 to file. I would have used another company had I known there were other fees.
