terrible experience

converted my over seas state form AE to ME preventing me from efiling. I have to send 26 pages of paperwork in the mail from a Navy base in Italy. terrible experience.

I don't know that it is any easier than filling out a paper form, but I appreciated the confidence it gave me to see the outcome of each step as I went along. It is also good to pass on the responsibility of making sure you have filled out each section well to Turbotax.
There was a tiny little glitch about a zip code that rendered it impossible for me to file electronically. So I had to print everything out and mail it in. An annoying but common problem with a digital system that has nearly no margin of flexibility.

Misleading pricing.

Pricing needs to be disclosed up front. At first I was told (in the online version) that I needed to upgrade because of an additional form, and the price was $29. Then later in the process, I was required to upgrade to $49 (the $29 option disappeared), then when checking out there was another fee for the state return for a total of $88. None of this was explained.
