Disappointing experience, interface non-intuitive

I have used TT for the majority of my tax filings and this is the first year I bought it online. The experience was a lot different and i was not able to go to a forms view. They put more effort into upselling you than in the tax preparation experience. I got all the way to the end and was then told I had to by deluxe version due to medicaire underpayment. It took me a long time to determine what they were talking about and would have been simpler if they improved their communication and mentioned much earlier when entering W2. I also received an error message that Box 18 cannot be lower than Box 19 and I could not submit. My very large state employer does not fill in box 18 as it is not required by NJ and they stated that this is a known tax issue with 3rd party tax software vendors. I had to fake my way through to submit....
