When filling, so may extra hidden fees right at the end after spending hours preparing. I think this is a tactic so people just suck it up and pay the fees so they didn't waste their time. I could have filed for way less money elsewhere. The Refund Processing Service Fee is just robbery when already paying for the service. Also advertisement for promo codes and discounts for students and other things but none of the codes worked.

turbo tax is legal robbery

this experience was nothing short of robbery. the application was a lie, i kept saying no to turbo max and turbo deluxe, i kept choosing standard, at the very last page it MADE me chose max or deluxe there was no option for standard anymore, thus costing me more money to file. so i was forced to "agree" just to file my taxes, with an amount given of what i owe turbo tax, fine whatever. then after filing was complete they asked me about last years stuff, after completing that they calculated what i owe-again. that number was increased by $40. straight robbery and lies through the whole process. i sincerely hope the workers of turbotax spill hot coffee in their laps every monday on the way to work
