I had a issue from a 1099-R entered. The error I kept getting looped back to indicated there was a zip code error. I entered exactly what was printed over and over. But later discovered it was actually a state error. I though the state had defaulted because I didn't select it unless I did so accidently when moving my cursor. However, the zip was correct so maybe you could indicate that the state AND/OR the zip were incorrect. The error pointing to the zip had me focused on that field. That would indicate they don't match not just that the zip was wrong. When I called for assistance the robo rep told a long time to get me to someone and my frustration level was very high. Sarah who assisted me was wonderful!! We finally figured it out together. Next year I'm going to try using the free service. I'm done with all the upselling and making the process longer than it needs to be. I can see why some are easily confused by the way in which some of the marketing is worded. It's a lot to have to keep saying no to. Thank you, Sarah!!
Turbo Tax was easy to use. However, the deeper I got into the process the more the fees seemed to pile up to the point that I started with a free account and ended up paying $150 to TurboTax. My return was not complicated and I did not use an on-staff accountant (but paid for it)..
I love using Turbo Tax! Its quick, easy and user friendly! It offers in person assistance if you needed and it has educational prompts and help selections if you don't understand something. It's a great tool to use for self preparing taxes.
