Overall, the experience of filing my taxes was very straightforward. TurboTax offered plenty of guidance and explanations of anything that I didn't understand. My only slight gripe is the number of times I was prompted to upgrade to a more expensive filing option. Once an upgrade offer has been declined, it shouldn't be pushed multiple additional times.

Online turbotax is pricey!!!

I have been using Turbotax for over 10 years. It has always been a bargain when using my desktop computer and inserting the turbotax cd to complete my taxes. This year, turbotax no longer offers a cd for my windows 10 desktop computer. I am NOT prepared to buy a new computer now just to do my taxes. So I did the online version which ended up costing me $96. I could have had a licensed preparer do my taxes for close to that amount. Also, didn't see the fee until the very end, much higher than the $40 fee shown at the beginning of the process. I will rethink my tax preparer next year for sure!
