Was told 40 to file everything for 40 to file each

Got changed 110 to file when I was told 40 to file everything got changed 40 for paying with refund..my pay to state was supposed to be deducted from federal wasn’t I have to setup other payment which I’m sure has a processing fee

The process this year was simplified such that the software now asks for only the information that will impact the amount of taxes owed or credited/deducted, rather than requesting extraneous data be inputted that would have no impact on taxes owed. I did have to make one call to understand what version of TurboTax I needed to file for a particular credit. This credit didn't come up in the search menu and the need to upgrade or downgrade service level was less than clear.
