I've used TurboTax for my taxes for YEARS and as my tax needs have changed TurboTax has been consistently the easiest way to prepare them, and gives me the greatest peace of mind that they're correct.

Turbo Tax adding charge

Turbo Tax added additional coverages without me even adding them. Every time something popped up about wanting to upgrade, I would make sure I would put no. I've used Turbo Tax before and its never done this before. Once it gave me my price preview, I saw that it was charging me for things I didn't want to purchase, and I made sure I didn't. I would read everything to make sure what it was offering and made sure I declined whatever it was offering. On top of that, it added a premium charge when I didn't want to purchase anything. I just wanted the basic plan that they offer but ended up paying more than what I expected. Like I said, I've used Turbo Tax before, so I know how this works. I didn't need additional help, nor did I click a different plan. I found this all out once I was ready to file.

SNEAK FEES EVERYWHERE

I was tricked into using the "deluxe" feature and had no way to go back and select the free option. Was constantly being asked to upgrade. Was asked if i wanted to pay with my refund, but not told there's actually A CHARGE to pay with my own refund. So sneaky and not at all transparent. I have no trust in this company and will not be using their services in the future.
