Solid product

Everything worked as expected except the issue with dependent care. It kept trying to enter a dependent care amount when we did not try to enter anything or claim the credit. We claimed the credit the previous year so I don't know if it was a glitch or something but it held up the process and we had to re-do the credits and deductions section twice to get it to fall off.

Turbo tax needs to cater to federal pensioners.

The program allowed me to do my taxes in only about two hours of work. I liked the process for photocopy insertion of my 1099 forms. I did not like that turbo tax is not set up to easily access my federal pension or social security income. Considering how many federal pensioners use this program, it's surprising turbo tax doesn't cater to them. For example, no click on section addressing federal pension 1099r forms.

Too many screens about buying their services. Some screens can be considered deceptive as they make it seem like you can only continue if you use their product/service or the product/service they are guiding you towards. For example the 5-day early deposit. They don't display regular direct deposit until you select another option (i.e., hiding an option behind selections).

Quick and easy….just answer the questions and snap a picture of your documents to upload and Turbo Tax does the rest.
