Problem with state filing.

I have not filed a state return in several years, but no where did it show to choose "file only federal", so I was charged for filing a state return even though I did not have any income. I went ahead and paid for filing both and I guess state was filed. Wish someone would look into this so it does not happen again next year. We are both retired and do not work anymore or do anything to receive income - only retirement and ss.

Turbo Tax can be a bit confusing

Wasn't sure if I needed to fill in certain areas even though they didn't apply to me. There was an area I needed to revisit on my state income tax. Wasn't sure what it was or how to remove it from my return because it didn't apply to me. I somehow ended up filing an amended State tax return. Couldn't figure out how to correct that either.Now I have to file it by mail.
