If you pay one year, the initial screen doesn't even show you cheaper options the following year. I usually upgrade for protection, but now I'm paying to file state taxes for a return of 9 dollars from the state. The site always used to be aimed more at helping everyone, but now seems more aimed at collecting a paycheck.
