I'm rating it a 2 because everything did work smoothly besides e-filing. I was aware of the $39 ny tax return fee but as I'm checking out what said to be free was a $49 fee for the IRS along with a $40 processing fee.

TurboTax added a bunch of gimmicks to trick you into paying more money for their services, even including sending your info through an additional service that requires you to pay more money for that service just to allow your refund pay for the TurboTax service. It's manipulative. If it weren't for the NYS disclosure, then I would have felt like I was forced to pay that fine. I will not be using TurboTax next year.
