Great Service and Easy to File

For most of my life I had to have help filing my taxes, but now that I am retired, I find it quite easy to get the job done and to get my refund in a timely manner.

I've used TurboTax for years and love that it had my history and old tax documents. However, over the years the amount of up-charging and new service fees is CRAZY. Fee to have my return pay for turbo tax ($40) fee to have the return 5 days earlier ($25 - and 5 days earlier then when?). Make sure you're taking a close look at all the fees at the end.

It costs far too much if you have a non-traditional job (which, incidentally, tends to PAY LESS than a regular job) because the free option is not available if you don't have a standard 1099. The process was not difficult, but I did not appreciate having to spend so much when I make so little.

Fairly simple certain things have to be opened in the bowers to complete instead of the app and they said free I ended up paying over $100 and my taxes weren’t difficult at all….
Pros: My employment status changed this year
