did not pick deluxe but made me pay for deluxe. It was supposed to be free and I ended up owing $118 out of my refund.

Great but BUYER BEWARE

I LOVE Turbo Tax, it’s a great product and I’ve used it since 1984. It’s amazing. The only thing bad I have to say about it is, over the years, the upselling is getting worse. I started out with filing a “free” return. It ended up costing me $122.19. They found me a $200 credit that I then needed the Turbo Deluxe for, since it added another schedule, so that was $31.20. Then I added the State Tax which was my fault as I was being lazy. I should have filed free like I usually do on my state website, that was $39. Then at the end they offered the Max for $49 which I thought was an upgrade from the deluxe so it seemed like a good deal for what it included. Turns out they charged me for the Turbo Deluxe and the Max. A total of $80.20. My fault, but just beware. It is not an upgrade, it’s an add-on. It’s still a great product as long as you are watch what you buy.

Easy to file. it probably should direct you to save a copy of the return for personal file.
