I appreciated how it translated IRS jargon into plain language and flagged areas where I might qualify for additional credits.
The interface is clean and easy to navigate, and being able to import documents—like W‑2s—saved a lot of time. I also liked that it checked for errors before filing and gave me a clear picture of my refund or balance due as I went.
That said, the upsell prompts can feel a bit persistent, especially if you’re trying to stick with the free version. Some features that seem included at first end up requiring a paid upgrade, which can be frustrating.
Overall, TurboTax Online is a reliable and user‑friendly option for filing taxes, especially if you want guided support without having to visit a tax preparer. It’s not the cheapest option, but it does make the process feel manageable from start to finish.
