Easy, and you can get more detailed as you work on your return. Updates on estimates of a refund given at different places in the return are welcomed as well. Thank You!

Last year using Turbo Tax

There were several bugs in the 2026 Turbo Tax that were quite irritating. First, it added a Canadian Pension to my return. I do not have a Canadian Pension and have never lived in Canada. It was quite involved to get this removed. The online help in the tool was useless.
The second bug is that Turbo Tax doesn't check the box on the cover sheet of my 1040 to show that I lived in the USA. Apparently this may only be needed for EIC, but the box on 1040 does not say that. There was no way to add this manually. Likely my last year with TurboTax. I have used it for over 20 years. What a rough year.
