Turbotax difficulties for first time joint filing

Upon trying to fix the filing info for my wife as she didn't file last year, the program updated my info to not having filed last year when I used this exact same website and account, which then made me login to the IRS and get my 2023 tax transcript. The program also wouldn't properly file south Carolina state taxes unless the catastrophe savings withdrawal option was left blank rather than zero, which it didn't explain was the preferred option.

Too Many Fees

Easy to use util you need help and then there are so many fees. Now there are fees upon fees if you need assistance or even want you fee taken out of your federal return.
