I been doing my taxes several years and thought it was free and it is not. WHY? this is very miss leading

Every year, I see fewer options to navigate my refund and tax documents. This year it included AI processing and I feel that I'm not getting all the help that I need or that it's biased in a manner that won't benefit me. I also really appreciate the 4 times that it asks me to upgrade to more expensive versions of the software like this is some Pay-to-Win adventure.
