It actually takes me longer to file my taxes with TurboTax than when I did it by hand.
The only good thing is that IRS prefers electronic filing, and TurboTax occasionally adds something I wouldn't have known about. Also, the math is all checked.
Almost left out interest income and investment income; I don't remember being prompted for these, but glad I caught it on one of the many, many opportunities to check my form.
The state tax is a problem. I fill out many questions to determine that most of my income is not taxed in Massachusetts. Yet I have to keep answering questions even when Turbo says I can't file electronically. How to jump ahead to filing just the federal? Does not seem to be a way.
