Turbo Tax is so easy.

2024 Not So Great

I've used TuboTax for several years without issue. This year for 2024 was very frustrating because having completed the federal and NY state returns, it kept returning me to the 1099-R form for NYS tax paid stating the amount cannot exceed the gross amount of disbursement. Unfortunately it wasn't clear that the State Gross Disbursement field had to be populated manually given the gross amount is listed above. Going forward it may be helpful to highlight the field at issue if blank or incorrect data so not easily overlooked.
