This is still the fastest and most trusted way to submit taxes on your own. Just be sure to have your tax documents available, so that you don't waste time trying to find them. It is nice that Turbo Tax tracks your filing status, so if you do have to go look for additional information, you don't have to re-populate your information.
It is a bit confusing at times, and auto picked my state returns without looking at what state I was earning my income in. Made for more headaches as it tried to autoload all of my information and confused me in the process. Not tot mention I have to pay for both federal and state taxes being done on here when you simply imported the info from last year. You didn't pull it out of thin air it's copy and paste from my old paperwork kind of expensive to get double dipped. Plus the extra $40 for you to take it out of my return.... which to me makes the most sense, but a wild fee to be charged when it makes no sense for me to pay you for you to pay me back... just deduct it from what you owe me and keep it simple. I don't Venmo my friends $25 then ask them to Venmo the $10 difference back, that's just dumb. 25-10 = 15. I'll send over $15 to my friend and call it a day. Confusing and a lot of extra work it seems crazy to pay all that extra when there wasn't much reason to.
