It used to be better

It was easy, quick, and thorough. But the cost is very deceiving, and it used to be free. They constantly try to up charge you too.

turbo tax is scam and stole my money

made me pay for the upgraded version after I did all the work. Paying for the upgraded version gave me NO extra help, no extra benefit, and I did everything on my own. I had no other option than to pay you and was TRICKED into paying even more at the end for turbo tax Illinois resident fee, thinking it was for my Illinois state tax I owed, but then later ALSO had to pay that. Absolutely disgusted with how much I was FORCED to pay turbo tax after doing all the manual labor myself. 50 dollars for the upgraded version I was forced to buy, then the extra 40 for being a resident in Illinois, which I did not get charged for last year, and THEN later prompted to pay the actual state tax I owed. I want my money back and I am beyond upset with this company. To make me pay that out of pocket now, because if I took it from my return Id have to pay an ADITIONAL 40 dollar transaction fee, is horrendous. I live paycheck to paycheck as it is and now have to wait 21 days to even see my return to makeup for the money this company took from me.

I have been using TurboTax Online for years, and I will use nothing else. I get all my close ones onto it too. It's so easy for even a first timer. The information and assistance is all right here at your fingertips.
