Easy, But At A Premium

Been using Turbotax for ten years, back when it was still free to file. Granted, it's always easy to file and the process is pretty straightforward. Unfortunately, they spend a bit too much time hounding you to upgrade the services while still charging a silly amount in total. Just $39 here, $49 there, try upgrading to proMax-whatever, and if you want direct deposit? Gotta pay up front, or it's another $40 processing fee (or $65 if you opt for the "5 days faster" choice). Seriously? I had actually considered taking the $25 hit for the faster return because I am a paycheck-to-paycheck person, but $65 worth of convenience fees on top of the cost it takes to file nowadays is ridiculous. A process that is totally needless and shouldn't exist anyway because moneymen want even MORE of your money, and you still want to gouge me for more for a basic option like direct deposit from the return? Hard, HARD pass. It's 2025, y'all. Should we make it another lap around the sun, I won't be using Turbotax.

I did not want deluxe and wasn't given an option, not to choose and to be charged until the end. I heard about this on my local news station. It is really true. I did TurboTax because of Intuit and Credit Karma.

I have been using Turbo Tax for a few years now and have never had a problem .
It's easy fast ((faster than filling out the forms yourself anyway ;) )) and you get multiple choices on how you want to pay them,the IRS,or state AND how you get your refund ,,, what more could you want
