It was a seamless and pleasant experience. When we all dread tax season and I can hop on TurboTax to file within an hour, filing taxes is less of a chore and more like a reward!

Felt scammed

It said it was free but once I qualified for the American Opportunity credit I had to pay $138. This feels like a scam. When I wasn't going to receive any money it was free but when I was going to receive money the only possible way they could file was if I gave them some. On top of this it said I could use my refund to pay for them to file but once I selected this there was a $40 processing fee added for this option. They did not say this before hand. Luckily I noticed and changed to paying with a credit card. But, I ultimately ended this experience feeling like they were trying to take advantage of me. Especially since I was not made aware of these charges until after I was done the entire process.

EASY!

Makes filing taxes so much easier. Even if I have to go find missing documents, it stays open so I don't have to go through the login process and find where I was at. I like being able to watch the refund/payment change as information is loaded. Easy to download forms or take pictures on phone to download.

Probably not coming back

I've used turbotax for 9 years now, for the last two its charged me more and more money to file. I preferred it before the product pushing and mandatory payments to file. I live off disability so I don't see how my few hundreds back needed a complicated filing.

TurboTax is great. Their service makes it easy to see how much the US government is forcefully penetrating my earnings and taking money from me while billionaires hoard more and more money, continuing to drive down the value of the American dollar.
