RMD frustration

Have used TurboTax for many years, with varying degrees of satisfaction. But I keep coming back! Sadly, this time I had a lot of frustration because TurboTax kept reading part of my retiree pension distributions as an RMD, although I had input everything from the 1099R correctly. I decided just to go with it, hoping the tax situation is correct and I don’t get audited.

The worst tax software choice

After using other tax software programs for many years, this was my first time using TurboTax, and it will be my last. I find it stunning that you are the industry leader, and beyond ironic that your company name is Intuit, as your software is not at all intuitive or user-friendly. Further, your pricing is deceptive and your upcharges are outrageous. Despite having a list of forms for the Basic edition that included everything I needed for my filing, you forced me midway through my prep to upgrade to Deluxe.
