Have used Turbo Tax for many years. Still seems to me that the process should be easier. Not judging anyone else, but that downloading from "financial institutions" is non responsive. Many forms having like or similar #, 1099, 1099-R, etc. Tends to lead toward confusion.

Misleading.

selected the free version. at the end of my filing turbo tax informed me I had to upgrade to file through the app. for an $8 retirement break, we charged $40. then we are let know at the very end that it will cost another $40 to file. don't represent yourself as a free tax filing service if said service is not actually free.
