A few sections have confusing instructions or explanations, including the Roth IRA contributions. You should clarify whether or not there is a difference between personal Roth IRAs and employer sponsored ones such as the military's TSP. Also, please fix the software so that it stops asking for a state tax ID when you put in a state that does not have income tax. The instructions said that if BOX 15 was blank on my W-2 I should leave it blank, but then it kept prompting me for a number.

Turbo Tax is the go-to for independent tax filers

I have used Turbotax for over 5 years now and have never had an issue. The website is easy to use and prompts for many potential tax deductions. You get asked a lot of questions so the algorithm can learn your personal situation and what type of filing status to apply. Payments have always been prompt as well. My only negative feedback: please don't ask 15 times during the tax filing process if I want to upgrade to Turbo Max. Teach your algorithm to ask 1 or 2 times (once at beginning, once at end) then be satisfied with the response. It's kind of annoying.

I would give it a 5 star but i feel like it needs to be less or free if I'm the only putting all the work in here...This is such a good site to file your taxes.. i just wish the government would give money to veterans rather than taken everything away.
