This service is a scam.

I try to free file every time and some how at the end of the process it turns out that I've been using the deluxe file service. And on top of that I get charged a fee for TurboTax taking my money. This year TurboTax ran my pockets for 150 dollars.

Every year, a required Detroit City Tax form is not included (5121 Schedule W). The City Tax return will not be accepted without it (I had mine not accepted before), so it makes you wonder what you're paying for. You'll have to remember to download and fill it out manually and include it when mailing your City return.
Besides that, it's frustrating it constantly tries to almost trick you into opting in to things you don't want/need. There are sometimes no "Next" or "Skip" buttons as it tries to force you into them, and you have to navigate around the screen using the far left navigation panel. This will likely be my last year using this, surely there has to be something better.
