Turbo Tax is Frustrating

Turbo Tax tries to upsell their products, slip in extra fees, and makes filing your taxes a frustrating experience by repeatedly asking unnecessary questions.
Also, I received an email on 2-27-25 that the Deluxe version would only be $39 if I filed before 2-28-25, but when I tried to file at 6 pm on 2-27-25, the price was listed at $49. I had to speak to a customer service rep to get the situation resolved. The only explanation offered was that "the price had already been raised" even though it was a day sooner than Turbo Tax was advertising. I was offered a code to adjust it, but was only given $9.80 off, not the full $10.
