I feel lied to.

I was told it would likely be free. Your ads really push that while quietly wiggling that 37~% around. I am poor. I do not make much money, so I assumed I'd be part of that 37% since you don't need to do much comparatively. So I decided to run it, fully expecting to have to pay state fees. That is fine. What is not fine is being charged for both it AND federal when I specifically kept saying "No, I don't want the more expensive services" Which it asked for a good 5 or so times throughout the return. I was then offered to get it back 5 days sooner so naturally, I agreed. I was then told my identity could not be verified. So I had to skip on that as I could not find a way to properly verify it a second time. In all, it cost me a little over 100 dollars of my return to file my taxes because of COURSE there's also an e-filing fee. 2 stars because it's quick. That is all.

Paying for deluxe after being told it’s free

Always see the ads saying free to file, after inputting all my info and reviewing to file I am then informed that it will be an additional $78 to file because I have a 1095-A. I’m below poverty level and had the 1095-A because I needed health insurance coverage or I will be taxed more at the end of the year. Filing a 1095-A should be free if the income level is below poverty level.
