I've been using TurboTax for filing my taxes, and overall, it's a solid option for both beginners and those with more complex tax situations. The platform is extremely user-friendly, guiding you step by step with clear instructions and helpful explanations. One of the best features is how it asks simple questions and automatically fills in the right forms, making the process feel much less overwhelming.
Another thing I appreciate is the accuracy checks and built-in audit support, which give me confidence that my return is correct. Plus, the ability to import W-2s and other tax documents saves a lot of time. If I ever have questions, the live support from tax professionals is a great option, though it can get pricey depending on the package.
That said, TurboTax can be expensive, especially if you need to file for multiple states or have more advanced tax situations like self-employment or rental income. While the free version is great for simple returns, most people will need to upgrade to a paid plan.
Overall, I’d recommend TurboTax for anyone who wants an easy, guided tax filing experience with solid support options. Just be mindful of the costs, especially if you have a more complicated return.
