I've been using Turbotax for about four years now. It has helpped file my taxes electronically, and with little hassle, atleast a lot less mind-numbing when doing taxes alone on tax return paper trying to figure out if I should check this box, does this apply to me, or does it not. Though, I did wish the constant e-mails of asking me to file my taxes early before I even received my w-2 form would stop.
Overall Turbo Tax was easy to use. most of the processes are pretty straight forward. Easy to process the transfer to your personal account. There were a few parts that were confusing because finding the right answer was difficult to locate.
i WILL NEVER USE TURBO AGAIN. HIDDEN FEES. I ASK WOULD I BE CHARGED THE THAT 40.00 I SAW HE SAID, NO. BUT THAT WAS NOT TRUE THE 94 DOLLARS I THOUGHT I WAS PAYING WAS ACTUALLY 134.00 DOLLARS. YOU FOOL ME ONCE BUT IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I WILL USE SOMEONE WHERE I KNOW THE TOTAL COST. AND I ASKED THIS GUY. IT SAYS, SUBTOTAL NOT TOTAL ARE YOU SURE THIS IS THE TOTAL COST? HE SAYS, YES. JUST TO FIND OUT IT WAS NOT THE TOTAL AND I WAS CHARGED ANOTHER 40 DOLLARS. BUT IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN BECAUSE I WILL NEVER USE TURBO AGAIN.
They're good at making it easy... but they still try to sneak in ways to charge you, and don't tell you until the end that if you switch to the free version you have to start all over because they can't be bothered to save a little information without an absurd fee. They had me re-type most of the info this year anyway but I can't "downgrade" unless they erase everything.
