Beware of Hidden Fees and Sneaky Upsells

TurboTax has a sneaky way of adding extra charges through various upsells, making it easy to accidentally purchase services you may not need. They present these add-ons in a way that feels misleading—often framing them as benefits or default options rather than clearly stating that they come with additional fees. Instead of being upfront about the costs, they subtly guide users into agreeing to extra charges without fully disclosing the price until later in the process. I find this approach deceptive and frustrating, and I do not appreciate feeling tricked into paying more than expected.

Fees and charges for nothing, such bull that the IRS doesnt do it for free since they already know anyways. Very simple tax return and still $100+
