Hidden Fees are Outrageous.

TurboTax is thorough and does ask questions that other online tax sites do not. This does maximize deductions. However, those deductions that were maximized cancel out after all of the fees at filing. TuboTax Deluxe is not an option to decline if you own your home while filing your W-2. There is also a $40 processing fee to use the tax return, however not if you use your debt/credit card at checkout. This is not great business. Filing taxes is already expensive for Americans, piling on fees on top of those wages is not going to keep people utilizing your service. $59 per state is also a lot when other competitors are allowing for free. Originally I tried to file through H&R Block's online use, I only used your service because the fees were still less than the error H&R Block provided me when trying to file my state taxes and I did not want to restart AGAIN. I will pay the $39 to speak to one of their representatives next time rather than pay over $200 in fees to file my taxes MYSELF.

false advertisment

i think your false advertising is annoying. you advertise as a free way to file but then as you go through the process of filing you have to click on the choices that add a bill for doing the taxes. also when i make a mistake and they get rejected there should be a button that takes you to where you need to go to fix your error instead of having to search aimlessly for the right place
