TurboxTax is Great!

TurboTax has been a very comprehensive and user-friendly tax-filing system year after year. This year, I ran into some trouble when filing my taxes, and the tax excerpt who helped me navigate my tax forms was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient.

Bait and Switch

Bait and switch saying it's free and then requiring upgrade due to "Medicare Additional". A simple 2 minute search shows that I'm out of the income level required for that, but there is no bypass option. Advertised free state as well but added $60 for that by the end too. There are better actually free options. Will be filling with BBB.

Turbo tax should be shut down for trying to upcharge customers every chance they get. They advertise free filing etc. But then charged me almost $200 at the last minute because I had an hsa account that I couldn't even add money to since I only got it in Decmber. If you don't pay super close attention they constantly try to make you buy the "deluxe version" and charge you extra $40 fees for stupid stuff. It would honestly be cheaper and better to go to an in-person tax place
