child tax credit flaw

This year, I made no changes to my personal information regarding my own three children, but Turbo wanted to count them as "other dependents." I checked several times to see "my child" was checked. I deleted their three profiles and re-entered them. After I did, the calculations changed and I received the full credit. Not sure what happened, Turbo....
I have always enjoyed using Turbo Tax (5+ years) and have never had issues before this year.

I used the basic deluxe version and felt comfortable with all features offered. Easy to use and Intuit makes it easy for everyone to understand their situations.

I knocked a star for the add-ons and buy ups they are getting a bit out of hand, and the prices for what you get feel a little high but that's my opinion. the added fees seem a bit ridiculous and could be a bit more upfront which are the reason for knocking it the second star. The software is easy enough to use and gets the job done. As for the help they are friendly and competent and seem to genuinely want to help. Which is why I didn't knock another star
