Turbo Tax is over priced and falsely advertises

It is extremely frustrating that easy returns are advertised as free, or even low cost. I started this simple return that involved 2 W2 forms and a standard deduction. I was pushed towards deluxe with no other option and paid $128 to file a very simple return. I will not be using this service again next year.

The final filing process has gotten MUCH better - no more weird pins or account passwords to forget and fight with. The "File free with TurboTax" is deceptive. I had nothing other than W2s and 1099-INTs, but was forced to pay for both Federal and State (aka TurboTax Deluxe). I guess they have to get their money somehow, but touting it as free feels very disingenuous to me.
